We went to the Philadelphia Zoo on Saturday. It’s America’s oldest zoo (it was actually their 150th birthday on the day, they were giving out cake), and it shows in a lot of places. I seriously think that in a lot of places Dalton Wild Animal Park provides a better location for exotic animals, and I never thought I’d say that about anything near Barrow!

The new parts were all pretty good though, although considering it was their birthday you’d have thought that they’d try and have as many of the exhibits open as possible, but there were a lot that had nothing in them, which was disappointing, especially as there was no sign outside the zoo saying that despite paying full price I wouldn’t be seeing the things advertised.
