My web host just attempted to charge me more than $700 for money that I have “owed” them since November and December 2008, and no, that year is not a typo.

It’s a good thing that the credit they have on my account is the one that expired in September!

Also, the amount of money is about 3x what I would expect to pay when my bill actually needs paying. The funny thing is, and I only think its funny because they didn’t actually take any of my money, I feel really sorry for the people who got unexpectedly charged simply because they were more conscientious than me, is that my host moved to new offices in Los Angeles over the holiday period and a line in their blog post about it said something along the lines of “if you’re hosting bill triples next month you’ll know why.”

Ouch, I guess someones gonna get fired, I hope it isn’t JC, the only person at Dreamhost I blog-know.
