So HSBC decided that just because my credit card expires at the end of this month it’s totally cool for them to actual stop transactions going through on it from yesterday, brilliant. I’ve activated the new card but I can’t use it until October. So that’s 9 days while I can’t use my credit card. Awesome. My LoveFilm account got put on hold because of this and now I don’t seem to be able to get them to recognise that I’ve changed to my debit card to get my account off hold now, so I guess I won’t be seeing any new DVDs for a while.

I rang up HSBC about it but customer services didn’t seem to understand what I was asking, the woman told me that I should change the detials on the card to an expire date of 09/09 which makes no sense since my current card runs out 09/07 and the next one on 09/10, and when I asked her about it she just told me the same thing again, so I just accepted that I wasn’t going to get a straight answer out of her and did a KTHXBAI.
