I watched the DVD of Lee Evans XL Tour (2005) earlier tonight. Whilst there were decent parts a lot of it seemed like rehashes of old material, which may or may not be because I may have actually seen the DVD before and simply don’t remember it…

I was Jarhead a couple of nights ago (very festive viewing, especially one scene which contains the previously mentioned man-butt). It was pretty good, I liked it.

I know BGBC isn’t really big enough to to have a proper giveaway, but seeing as its the festive season I thought I might as well mention this on the blog as well as to my friends.

The guys at Dirty Microbe sent me two of the same shirt by mistake when they were sending me a review package, and said that I should just give it away to a friend. You would’ve expected some kind of Christmas message from me right? Well on the big day I didn’t even touch my laptop, which is quite an achievement for me. This was mostly because Santa noticed how much of a good boy I’ve been this year and decided that an XBOX360 was adequate compensation for me being nice rather than naughty.

It’s a beast of a console, and even on our non-HD TV it looks amazing (then again, most things look good on a 52 inch TV!). It’s incredible how much video game graphics have moved on in a few years. Having wireless controllers is cool, but whenever I move I keep flicking it as if to move the wire out of my way, which leads to a really self-concious moment of stupidity.

I got a gorrillapod too, which is a super-cool bendable tripod. Though I may purchase the even cooler looking monsterpod soon.

I went around to Tom’s last night armed with my camera and videod the guys jamming a few tracks. We were a bit rushed because they wanted to get out drinking so they weren’t too happy with the results, but I still put one of the vids up on YouTube anyway.

I think, think, that I’ve finished all my Christmas shopping. And I had my first (two) mince pies of the season!

Maybe its time to crack out the Chrismukkah episodes of the O.C. and get nostalgic.
