Nuffin’ doin’

You may have noticed that I haven’t posted for a few days, and whilst one of the rules of blogging 101 is that you shouldn’t apologise for not posting (no one cares), I did have a pretty good reason, I had and have nothing to do!
My last university exam (contemporary italian politics) was on Monday and it went pretty well, I was disappointed that there wasn’t a specifically Mafia targetted question, but it kind of goes hand in hand with questions on political corruption anyway. Another sore point was that our tutor said “there will be no questions about the 2006 election but you can reference it, and then one of the choice of questions was “the 2006 election….. stable democracy”. Hmmm…..
I was pretty tired after the exam from all the revision and dramatic reduction in stress, so I just had a few drinks at home then had a decent lie in, rock star!
Yesterday Tigg came down from Loughborough, and Rob “the” Finn came back from Mansfield for a few days and we all went down to Fan Club for a classic Leicester Uni Tuesday (Wetherspoons then Fan Club) with Matt, Louise and Vicky. Despite me and Tigg being rather varied in our choice of beverages (don’t mix, kids!) we managed to keep control of ourselves, which probably can’t be said for Matt, which caused me and Richard to have this conversation (through the door) whilst I was having a shower this morning:
Richard: Andy, were you sick last night?
Me: Nope.
Richard: Well, someone was…
Me: Tigg?
R: Nope
Me: Rob?
R: Nope, leaving just one person…
Me: (raucous laughter)
R: yeah, he was sick in the kitchen sink, and on the clean dishes
Me:….
Now, I know Matt doesn’t like doing his own dishes, but messing up clean ones before they’ve even gone in the cupboard, now he’s really kicking it up a notch!
Oh, awesome part of last night, I was wearing my 99 luftballons t-shirt from Threadless and Vicky requested the Goldfinger version of 99 Red Balloons twice, which was so freakin’ cool, and when it came on we went crazy on a podium (I say podium, its a platform raised about 1 foot from the floor).
I’ve begun relaxing so much that I even bought an XBOX game (it was only £10).
Ahhhhh, unemployment, it truly is treating me well.

[...] HYA: Since people keep telling me that they can’t reach the site (even though I can), I’ve splashed some cash (even though I’m semi-unemployed) on webhosting in the form of a very generous plan from Dreamhost, made even more affordable by a kick-ass coupon code provided by Teees. So you know what that means, downtime, yep, I’m going to fix the downtime issues by having more downtime… this will occur over the weekend when I’d rather be doing something else, but its gotta be done, and traffic is lower on a weekend so hopefully most people won’t even notice. With all the extra space expect some semi-exciting developments, and for me to stop relying on Flickr for photo-hosting. [...]
