The Academy Is… Amazing, still

Tonight’s gig at the Charlotte was really rather excellent. TAI’s song sounded brilliant, though I felt that most people turned up for Panic! (who actually made their songs sound better than on their CD), and The Junior Varsity were surprisingly good.
Drinks prices there, not so great, but no too extortionate either.
I also met Amy (i.e. person I know from the internet) which was cool, meeting a fan of the blog, ha, I’m famous! She was doing the mailing list for TJV, P!ATD and TAI, signing up got me some buttons! Yay!
It was cool to hang out with Garth and Katie as well, since I rarely get to see them for one reason or another.
I managed to control my urge to go out afterwards, despite Rory trying to persuade me to go to Po Na Na, and Louise repeatedly telling me that Fan Club was the place to be, they were both wrong, lying on the living room couch, alone, was SO the most fun option.
What’s the deal with Academy’s singer looking a bit like a girl? And what’s the deal with the ridiculous amount of scene kids at the Charlotte, I knoiw I’m 21 and therefore too old to look like them, but they looked stupid, how do they go about their regular lives in jeans that tight, hair that long, and oh so geeky clothes. Seth Cohen and the Tom DeLonge school of fashion have a lot to answer for.

Im so glad you also felt old in there, me and my friend Ruth really did. Also, we decided that lead singer needed a sandwich more than anything! Also, so many kids thought we were actually with the band, one girl was like, What time do the band have to go to the next place? We’d really like them to come out with us! And i just said, Well, they’ve gotta be in Bristol for tomorrow night! Hehe, the power! And we also think that button badges could cure world peace! Emo’s are fickle - “sign up and we’ll give you badges….” “Oh ok!” Hope we werent laughing too obviously at the Emo’s! Hope you had fun tho.

Oh yeah, I had a great time, what kind of freebies did you get? Also, noticed you left without saying goodbye, my poor little emo-heart has been stabbed. You checked out http://www.hideyourarms.com yet? It’s my new thing, half those kids in there wouldn’t know what good design was if they were hit by a screenprinter..
