*My respect to the person that gets the ‘The Academy Is…’ reference from the title*
What a week, I’ve been busy doing nothing. Since I had a lecture cancelled I went home to Langdale on Wednesday (after rocking hard in the Fan Club on Tuesday night) and just kind of lay around being lazy, which I could have quite easily done in Leicester but then I wouldn’t have been fed venison and wood pigeon.
One thing I notice about home is that it actually gets dark, living in a city it never actually gets pitch black, especially as my room looks out on the street and our curtains are about as thick as economy toilet roll (=thin). I used to be a bit afraid of the dark, but now I find it quite comforting when I’m at home.
I ordered a new laptop, which will hopefully arrive by Christmas (sorry, non-denominational celebration day) but it might not, so my current Sony will need to last for a few months and a few essays.
I had a good couple of nights out with the guys, they haven’t changed a bit, as Dr.Ross Gellar once said “no one likes change” but then again he was talking about infidelity, and I’m talking about people who make “your mum” jokes.
I saw Thwaitesy, which is always a pleasure, as he always insists on telling me how much of a great friend I am, I do think the stubbly kiss was a bit much though (he was drunk btw).
Going to see Franz Ferdinand tomorrow in Nottingham with Richardo, Robin and Pete, should be a good’n.
*Bunch of new photos from the previous week on my Flickr page so check them out, including a bit of camwhoring of my hair*
