so this was what the rocket looked like before today, a day that proved that me and Tigg can do anything Estes can. Conditions were less than perfect, very overcast, heavy drizzle, low cloud cover (we were so confident that we’d lose it in the cloud - this never happened) so we fired it off and it soared in a tremendous arch before burrowing 2 inches into the ground (parachutes are for wimps). The second time we fired it basically the same thing happened except the fins were snapped off by the force of the landing, but the crumple zones of the nose did their job. My next intended project is a rocket with some kind of an explosive in it so that it explodes at the end of its burn period, i.e. before it’s hurtling towards the ground, and me.
