This is from the England game last week, I forgot my came so I had to use my phone for pictures…… which was really annoying, we were 2nd row as you can see and this is Jermaine Jenas, Keiron Dyer and Glen Johnson warming up, it was amazing seeing some of the best players in Europe just mere metres away.

I guess this is what happens when you put Carling on sale at Asda next to the Halls of Residence, I made Rob point at the hole like in those ‘Holidays from Hell’ shows when they point at a cockroach in the bathroom, it’s also from a Peter Kay joke.

so this was what the rocket looked like before today, a day that proved that me and Tigg can do anything Estes can. Conditions were less than perfect, very overcast, heavy drizzle, low cloud cover (we were so confident that we’d lose it in the cloud - this never happened) so we fired it off and it soared in a tremendous arch before burrowing 2 inches into the ground (parachutes are for wimps). The second time we fired it basically the same thing happened except the fins were snapped off by the force of the landing, but the crumple zones of the nose did their job. My next intended project is a rocket with some kind of an explosive in it so that it explodes at the end of its burn period, i.e. before it’s hurtling towards the ground, and me.

this is the beastly rocket that me and Tigg designed and built within one afternoon using general household materials (except for the tube shaft that we got out of the workshop) in an afternoon. The rest of the tube is coloured blue now, and I bought C class rockets engines today (£2 each, who would believe it) so the intended launch date is tomorrow afternoon, but the weather forecast doesn’t look all that promising with it looking as if there will be a thunderstorm. Maybe we should cover it in tin foil and it might explode if hit by a lightning bolt.
