Its slowed heavy yestersay, so we had a snowball fight like mature 19 year olds do.

Also, me and Rob being the only northerners in the house (even though Rob is only from Mansfield (about an hour north of here) we decided that the cold was nothing to us, so we went out in t-shirts.

There is now huge amounts of ice on the roads and pavement, about an inch think, cos just before it snowed it rained heavily, but becuase it was snowing so heavily it managed to settle.

Definetly coming home this weekend, cos mums bought a sirloin roast and I could do with a good bit of meat (ooh err matron etcetera) but I won’t be able to stay till monday cos I checked the noticeboards today and I have 2 tutorials on modays now.

I’m going to be living in the previously mentioned house in the middle of town with the guys, they said that they’d help to pay for the parking, so I can’t really complain now, though I am still pissed off about the way we went about things. We’ve had it worked into the contract to have the problems I mentioned fixed so things are good now.

Tigg came around on Tuesday night and joined us for the Stamford Hall bar crawl, which was cool cos I hadn’t been out drinking with my housemates since I got back from the christmas break, cos I’d been out with Tiggs mates, and my ‘alternative/punk’ buddies that people in the house aren’t really friends with for big nights out before that.

I’m going to see a band called Found Face Down tonight at the Charlotte, they’re my mate Richards band, they’re metal and as such not really my thing but when I saw them last time it was pretty good, so I’ll put up a review on the photo hole tomorrow night when I get home.

I’ve been thinking that I should put a little picture of myself somewhere on the page so that people who don’t know me will know what I look like, and their are people out their who read this that don’t know who I are, a fair few americans have visited, and I got my first Japanese visitor this week.

Sony still haven’t sent me an e-mail or phoned me about getting me a new power adaptor, which is annoying cos I actually need my laptop now, for typing notes and I’ll be doing essays again soon, and I’ve called them 5 times and been told that its not in stock each time, but it only took 1 week to have my laptop sent to France then Belgium then back to France then back to me again, so how hard can it be to get and adaptor to me.

I’m going to see longview at the Charlotte tonight and I’d like to make it clear that they are a indie who are christian, not a christian indie band, see the difference?

Not that there’s anything wrong with being a christian, its just not my way, not that I’ve decided whether theres’ a god or not, but this could turn into a gigantic post about religion, so I’d better stop.

Ok, I’m gonna join the Snowbaord Society within the next hour or so, which is the whole reason I came into uni, cos I have nothing today, in fact I have nothing on mondays, wednesdays and fridays. hahaha to you all.

Also today I’m going to visit a house that we might live in next year, but I think its the wrong side of town, like its near uni, but not near the city centre, which is no good really.

For the fitness stuff, I do :-

30 sit ups

30 calf raises

30 squat drops (possibly the wrong name)

and I’m doing 100 reps on the arms with a 2 litre bottle of water, its not necessary for the whole snowboarding thing, but I might as well, cos I want girls as well as the ability to stand on a plank of wood whilst hurtling down a hill.

Might go to the Tamworth Snowboard at some point in the near future, cos Duncan (guy who lives in Stamford and is sat next to me so I can’t call him a bastard even though he introduced himself as “Hi, I’m Duncan and I’m a bastard”) said he’d give me a couple of lessons to get me on my way, cos he learnt to be a tutor on his year out. Free lessons for me!!!

Ok, thats most of my news for now, I might go back to Cumbria home this weekend cos then I can have 4 weeks here again then go home, so then I have even spacings between my visits.

finished my exams, whoop whoop.

Theres a little review the Brand New gig on the photo hole, as well of lots of new picture posted by a wider variety of people than usual.

this is short cos you only get 20 mins on the computer s I’m at at the moment.

the power pack on my laptop has buggered up so I am currently without computer, which wasn’t good when all my notes were on it and I only had 70% of battery to revise off.

Monday morning, top o’ the morning to ye!

Just handed in my essay, its another masterpiece to say the least, or a pass to say the expected.

I have one more exam to do on Wednesday and then I’m finished till we start with lectures next week.

Seeing Brand New tonight!!!! awesome, and its sold out, and when the Charlotte sells out theres a pretty special atmosphere cos its so small. Support is from the Stray Light Run who are a ex-members of Taking Back Sunday.

I think I’m gonna buy a computer game now, cos I’ve not done that for like 6 months and I’m bored of playing windows pinball.

Ok, I’m off to the library to hand back some books.

Ok guys I’ll cut it down to bite size chunks.

Had an exam on wednesday, it went pretty well, the stuff I’d revised came up so I’m pretty sure I’ve passed, and possibly might claw a 2-1 but I’ve never taken a uni exam so I don’t really know what standard they’re looking for.

Went to Loughborough on Wednseday night and ended up going to their Union for a night out with the Tigg-meister, it was only £1 for a pint of Nasty (northerners can read this as Snakebite).

Bought 4 DVDs for £16 on Thursday, Taxi 1&2 a couple of cool french films that are actually funny, and a couple of crappy ones that I wasn’t expecting much of anyway.

Got to write an essay for monday then revise for an exam on Wednesday.

Gonna see Brand New and Stray Light Run on Monday at the Charlotte, I’m really excited about this cos the ‘new’ Brand New album was regarded as one of the best releases of 2003 by much of the punk music press and many band members from ‘best of 2003′ things I’ve read.

Ok, I’m going back to Leicester tomorrow so I’m sure that my posts will beomce less frequent, but I’ll try to update when I can.

Thanks to Tyse last night when he greeted me with “Congratulations on the blog Bone”, its good to hear that someone appreciates it.

Yesterday was pretty busy for me so I:

Picked up my car!!! it loks better than before cos now I have no sctraches/road chips on the bonnet (please note that I made none of these scratches, they were just wear and tear type things). And Ian at Motorbody in Ambleside put the 2003 headlights on my car instead of the 2001 ones, whcih is cool cos the 2003 (facelift version) lights are clearer, and in my opinion look better.

Went to Wheelbase in Stavely and saw Hevy, and bought a jacket which can be viewed here and a pair of trousers (do you call them trousers? I don’t know about these things yet) which I can’t find a link for.

Went to Lancaster uni to take back the books I’d borrowed over Chrimbo, and I had a 60p fine cos I was a day late.

Went out at night, saw Greeno, Scott, Tyse, Marques, Rosie S, Katie K and several other people, its pretty tight to just dismiss them like that, but they weren’t clsoe friends so it’d start getting silly if I mentioned everyone.

I think I damaged my speakers on the way home last night, I wanted to see how loud they would go with the new head unit, and they started whistling when they shouldn’t.

ok, since I decided that I’m gonna get in shape for my snowboarding trip I figured I’d better do something so I can get it on the blog so that you don’t think less of me.

I did a bit of research and it turns out calf raises are good, and I actually knew what they were so I decided to do 100 and then see where to go from there.

So it quite literally was step one, cos I was stood on the first step in kitchen door.

I did do my 100, but I’ll be honest, there was some pain in there by the end (consider what those calfs are pushing though), so its gonna be a long journey, but I’ve gotta reach the finish otherwise my holiday will be a waste of time and money.

My severely lofty aim is to be able to do 300+ without it hurting too much.

According to About.com’s Snowboarding section situp’s are good, pushups are good, and several things that I don’t understand even though their names sound obvious.

Anyway, I basically have till around March 20th to get to a reasonable level of fitness. By my calculations that give me 71 days.

y’know I’m 531 in that list, thats out of 6057, makes me feel pretty good

and for all the sites on the gostats register I’m ranked 8400 or so, but thats out of 108000 sites, but I know I’ll never reach #1, unless I start modelling for porn.

71 days, lets rock…
