just a little story today.
Went chrimbo shopping with mum today, on the way back from Kendal we decided to stop in at Lakeland Plastics (don’t even try to call it Ltd.), didn’t buy anything. So we set off again and I’m just driving out of the train station carpark and I think I see Beale walking towards me, but I couldn’t be sure, so I just kept going, then I hear from behind me “Bono, Bono” it was so goddam funny, reminded me of a moment in Lanzarote (thats just for Rob). So Beale comes up and we start chatting then this coach just starts turnin,g and doesn’t stop, so he ran off, and I drove to Booths……….
Also saw Katie in MVC, she wants the Old Skool Crew out in Kendal on Monday, I’ll get in touch but I thought it would make me look cool to announce my party attitude.
And finally, I love my new Drive-Thru t-shirts ,they’re just so cool, and they barely cost anything, at least before delivery they don’t. Anyway, I will be wearing them to death of the festive period.

ahh home, I love it.
Today my mum asked me if I was okay cooking bacon and eggs, now really come on, I’m 19 and I can cook pretty much anything now, and I say pretty much because I might get challenged, and might lose, which would be sad.
I didn’t do anything today, its so awesome. Though I did tidy up some of my stuff that I unceremoniously dumped in the sitting room on wednesday night, and I helped a bit with the accounts in the office.
I got to see the stars last night cos it was clear and thats something I’ve really been looking forward to, so that was really cool.
I’ve been getting back into the whole bootleg thing again, downloading Chrimbo bootlegs and some calming chillout bootlegs.
Dunno if I’ve mentioned this before but I’m going to see my brother on Tuesday in ‘that London’ and then the Stereophonics on Wednesday at Earl’s Court.
Tiggy ordered tickets to see Blink 182 in Nottingham on February 10th, really quite excited about this, never seen Blink before and they were the band that got me into punk. Their new album is really growing on me aswell, so I’m a happy chappy on the gig front. One more thing, I’m gonna order tickets to see Brand New at the Charlotte at some point in January, not sure when, but they should be good, I saw them supporting Finch.
I am such a goddam band name-dropper.
I miss the Leicester crew to be honest, it was really cool to have all my new friends so near, unlike here where its like a 15min drive minimum, thats how lazy I am, I pick my friends due to geographical location.
Can’t wait to see my home friends again, going out on Sunday/Monday apparently, but no ones really told me anything.

I looked at my stats and it turns out like 10 people hit on monday, I may be getting big headed, but perhaps people are actually checking mondays cos thats the usual update day. I didn’t blog on mon. cos I was tired and not in uni for long, cos I just needed to hand in 3 essays then went into town.
I am writing this not from the library, or the computers of the Attenborough building, or even the Bennett, but in fact from my own home in Cumbria.
Today I ate steak, and it was the best thing I’d eaten in the 6 weeks its been since I was last home.
Gonna keep this short as its a bit late and I had a 4 hour drive, just thought I should pop in to say that I’m still alive.
I had a big thoughtful thing to write, but I’ll do it tomorrow instead (probably).
Its good to be home.

MP3.com will die tonight (2nd December), its going to be replaced with what i think is a premium service, so even when I try and be legal with my mp3 downloading I get cut off, no wonder people use kazaa….
mp3.com are currently recommending music.download.com I dunno what its like, but its free.

monday afternoon, I’m sure you’ve been waiting all week 4 this.
Muse was so goddam amazing, they had like a Close Encounters of the Third Kind theme going on, so when Matt played the piano different keys made different lights come on on this board in front of the piano, it doesn’t sound good, but it really was. I’ve never seen such an awesome guitar display in my life, cos usually when I see bands they aren’t really technical, but this really blew me away, my head nodded rhytmically for the whole gig, only during the encore did I eventually stand and headbang like a cliched metal fan (not that I even listen to metal). They closed on Stockholm Syndrome, and they had confetti cannons which was SO stadium rock, and they had the infamous white balloons during the song before it.
Then on Saturday I went to a performance of Beethoven’s 5th and 7th, cos Paz was playing in them, it was actually pretty good, I felt cultured, and the violin soloist was a hot asian, so I was well satisfied with my weekends music.
Penultimate music item of the day, Blink 182 are doing a UK tour in February next year, I will totally be there, I don’t care about mini-moshers I still love Blink, my first ever punk(ish) band even if their new album is ‘different’, the gig at Wembley arena has already sold out, and the only other one listed on is Manchester. Also RxBandits are doing a UK tour in April, and the date on the 10th is ………. the Leicester Charlotte, though I’ve read that they’re playing somehwere else on that day, support will be Howard Alias, and the rumour is Desa, who were formed out of the ashes of Link80 who I really liked.
On Thursday last week I went a bit crazy, and spent £270 on clothes in town, I’m such a crappy student. Its all cos I have a credit card, and in Burtons they tricked me into getting another credit card because they just told me it was a discount card, it was only later when I found out that I had a £250 limit that I became confused. It was a good day though, I got 3 jumpers (but I’m taking one back due it having a ridiculously large collar), a denim jacket (cos I’ve never had one), a proper coat, a pair of jeans (that are actually cool), a beanie hat, and one of those belts that anyone alternative wears nowadays. So I look a bit more trendy and student like, and according to the girls and I am now the coolest guy in the house, because I spent lots on clothes.
Pretty much that was my week, I have my final seminar and 3 lectures of the year tomorrow, leaving it as my choice when I come home, I have to leave by the 12th and I’ll probably come back a bit early, though i do have 3 essays to do by the 8th and I’m only half way through my first!!!
Also I’m now taking Nytol practically every night to try and get myself to sleep without 2 hours of just lying there trying to sleep but failing. Fair enough I think about a lot of things, but getting to sleep at 5 and waking at 9/10 is ridiculous.
I have the Snow Ball coming up on Saturday, I’m pretty sure that I’ll be able to get away with only wearing a suit instead of a tux, that seems to be what the other guys are doing.
