Guys,

I actually wanna keep this one short because they all tend to get ridiculously long and that is n’t really the point of a blog, its meant to be short snappy, and typed as you sip a mocha, I on the other hand cannot afford to go to starbucks and do not read the guardian (at least not often).

On Monday night I had 2 migraines in a row which absolutely killed, and so I was koncked out by my pills and was very ill the next day, so I ended up missing half my week (half my lecture/seminars are on a tuesday) and spent all but 3 hours of Tuesday in the safety of my bed.

I decided that since I missed out on the traditional tuesday party I would party (please understand that party means drink and get rejected by girls) so I started at 3:30 and then stopped at about 8 when I passed out on my bed, after apparently sniffing Sophie, and then attempting to do yoga against my wall, I was not successful, but somehow my phone was taken out of my pocket and I now have a photo of me in an L shape (legs highest) as my background. I then went to the Robert Finn School of Soberology which involved standing outside breathing very deeply, falling asleep, drinking about 3 pints of water, and having a simple toastie of cheese and ham, I did complain at the lack of chilli sauce, peanut butter olive and cracked pepper, but he said that would make me sick. Amazingly this worked and by 10 o’clock I was in town at a Wetherspoons completely sober, which was very odd, and I didn’t really want to drink anymore but it was buy one get one free on Reef’s at Undecided.

Irony of the night was that Rob had to be taken home after having 28 shots of vodka (8 ahead of myself) and drinking a big bottle of “Hardcore” (actually name not a description) cider, which Tom decided tasted like “Champagne made with apples” oh and it cost £1.47 for 700ml we indeed are a classy Kent House.

Did pretty much nothing at the weekend except work and watch TV, though I did manage to wake up to watch England beat the Aussies, which was nice.

It would appear that I’ve written another long post and once again its about booze, well I am at uni, I’ve gotta conform to 1 stereotype.

Drive-thru invasion tour has a half page ad in this weeks Kerrang!

I see Muse on Friday at the Nottingham Ice Arena, report of that next monday.

Rach, if you have read this like you said you would please leave a comment.

I just made my first purchase with my credit card, 4 t-shirts from Drive-thru records costing $60 ($17 of which was shipping+handling) so about £36 by my E at AS-level maths.

Also just to piss off anyone who actually does anything, as of this week I only have lectures/seminars on Monday, Tuesday, and hour hour on Wednesday morning. hahaha

Peace to all ma homies (its called irony),
B.

Big news, I can confirm that I’ve had a Mexican visitor, hurray.
I’ve just realised that I’ll be able to check if Jack is checking up on my progress, cos now that he’s gonna spend winter in Chamonix I’ll be able to see how many French hits I get, so now I can publically wish him good luck.

Non-me news, can i just draw anyones attention to the Drive-Thru Invasion Tour thats coming to the UK in January, the dates are as follows

11 Plymouth Club
12 Bristol Acadamy
13 Birmingham Acadamy2 (Academy 1 on hold)
14 Manchester Acadamy2
15 Glasgow Garage
17 Newcastle Newcastle Uni
18 Sheffield Leadmill
19 Oxford Zodiac
20 Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms
21 London Astoria

The bands that are playing are Allister, Homegrown, The Early November (take note Ro!!) and Hidden in Plain view, you may also notice that none of those dates are anywhere near Leicester, so it looks like I’m either going to Greenys (at the Leadmill) or my brothers (at the Astoria), should be awesome.

Ok, had a curious weekend, there was 7 or 8 of us in the house when there is usually 18. So I managed to get a bit of reading done and write an essay and a presentation, the presentation was good btw, I did it this morning with a girl called Hannah, not the one I live with, and I was happy, I was using my hands, quoting dates, even a joke, that no one laughed at but still, it shows that I’m more comfortable with speaking in a large group cos at school I wasn’t a big fan of all this speech stuff.

Anyway, friday night was fairly quiet, though I did drink 2 pints of Southern Comfort and Lemonade, quite quickly, so I was a bit drunk that night but it ws still quiet, so a few of us just hung out, it was nice. Then on Saturday I was gonan go to see the Matrix with Richard but we didn’t bother, so instead me and Sophie (girl that lives literally above me, but spends an increasingly large amount of time in my room cos I have a TV), and later Richard, made a drinking game out of Junior Eurovision, because otherwise it would have been 2 hours of horrible horrible singing, it goes like so….

if the cameraman makes a mistake, you drink
if Tara Palmer Tompkinson (see the celeb hit-grab there) made a commentary mistake, you drink
if the underage performer makes a blatantly sexual dance move, such as some kind of thrust, you drink
if you are attracted to a performer, you drink LETS BE CLEAR THIS ONE WAS A JOKE
if a performer sings out of tune, you drink
if you notice anything, you drink

Needless to say, the ‘artists’ were terrible, so we ended up rather drunk, and when we ran out of vodka, we went to the JCR and I ended up spending a couple of days budget in a couple of hours. So I ended up still being a wake at 4 and then I got up at 9 to watch the rugby, which was rather a hard thing to do but atleast I could watch it whilst still in bed, and Sophie joined me (sidenote: her Dad was called up to try out for England but he didn’t go because he thought he was too old) so well done to our boys/Johnny Wilkinson for beating the French, anything anti-French should appeal to my French readership, i.e. Sara, who is from New York, not Australia.

It was cool when everyone came back on Sunday the house seemed more alive and I got a lot more visitors whilst I was working on my essay.

Long live the Kent House Union,
Bone

I’ve just realised that my ‘quiet’ weekend wasn’t all that quiet cos I was drunk for quite a lot of it, oh and when you drink, drink responsibly.

One last thing, seriosuly, in the JCR on Saturday I was talking to the barman and he was at the same HomeGrown and Midtown gigs as me and Greeny were (he noticed my Early November tee) so he played the Midtown and Rufio CDs so for the first night in like 8/9 weeks a bar played only the music that I like, v.cool.

Monday afternoon update, its becoming almost regular isn’t it?

Went home on Firday, it took 5 hours to do the 192 mile trip, neddless to say, it was bloody tired at the end of it, but mum had made Roast Beef, which was so god damn awesome, and I ate so much food which actually had flavour (uni food is rather bland). I was full really quickly though, maybe my stomach is shirnking.

Played some pool with Greeno on Saturday afternoon, and then went round to Clare’s on Saturday night, there was me (duh), greeno, clare, garry, rach, marques, brooke, danni and nicola, I don’t think I’ve forgotten anyone but I doubt they’d be offended anyway, since they probably don’t read this anyone. It was cool to see people again, I hadn’t seen Garry for like 7 weeks, which is a fairly long time, but he hasn’t really changed much. It was a pity Scott and Hodge didn’t drop by to see us after work, but it would have been quite the effort for them (note huge amounts of sarcasm).

Drove back Sunday afternoon after watching the ‘mighty’ England make it to the semi’s of the rugby. Took 4 hours to get back, not bad but I was pushing the limits of legality along some motorway sections.

Also hello to Sara, my last commenter, possibly from Australia (the hit stats state that I’ve had a visitor from Oz).

Probably babble on tomorrow,

It looks like the hits have dried up, my own fault I guess, I probably should have posted more often, and done more interesting stuff, so tonight I will errr…. sit in and type an essay…. hmmmmm. Just been looking at my hit counter stats and I am pleased to announce that this website has been accessed by people in Kuwait, Mexico, Holland, Canada and Brazil and has been read in Portuguese, Arabic and obviously English (isn’t the dutch person very clever being bi-lingual). This makes me feel quite famous (please note blatant sarcasm, well maybe not sarcasm, but some word), but not much, cos I only get 1 hit a day, when I reach the heady peaks of 3 hits, then I really know that I can give up learning and sell books off amazon commission for a living.

Last night keeping up my nice guy image (though its not really an image, it’s me), I looked after a girl who was ill, Sophie was feeling under the weather, and frankly she freaked me out a bit, cos she was shaking, and randomly crying, and those of you who know me will be aware that I simply can’t handle crying girls.

Just been rooting around in my stats page again, people have found their way to the site with the following keywords from google and MSN:-

freddy
golf
windsor
crazy
number
serial
swearing
windsor%
girls
messenger
t610
free
emoticons
scally
msn
help
mini

So I mention Freddy Windsor once, and it gets me 9 hits, maybe I should tell the story about when I saw Britney Spears live, whoopy dee woo, now I’m gonna hit the big time, and you’d be all like “yeah, I was reading Big Guy in A Big City back when he cared about the words, now its all just Britney this, Christina that, that guy sold his soul for 100 hits a day”

Oh, Billy Talent rock,

Gee guys, guess what I’m going to write in the next line.

I’m really sorry about not updating.

But in my defence I’ve been busy being a student, and my laptop has been wiped so I’ve been struggling to do work, and I have an essay in for either friday or next monday so I’ve been doing research.

Okey dokey, we’ll skip a few weeks of my life cos I can’t be bothered recounting them. Lets go over my weekend then (starting with late thursday night). Okay, I drove back from a club at 1:15 cos we went out for Richard’s birthday (affable chap who lives next door to me) and then I got to sleep for about 3:30 to 4ish, then I got up at the un-godly hour of 5:00 yes thats right I was up at 5, because I said I’d take Hannah to the train station, and I’m a man of my word, so I did, got back about 5:45, made myself a toasted cheese baguette, and tried to go to sleep but I couldn’t, Lee Evans was right, “I’m too tired to sleep” hehe. Anywho, I managed to get about an hours rest before I got up again, because Sony told me that DHL would be around between 9 and 5 (nice and specific eh!!) to collect my laptop, so I waited for a couple of hours and no one turned up, and then I had to go for a lecture at 11 so I gave the beautiful but useless Sony to Helen to babysit, came back from uni, DHL hadn’t been, then I set off to Leeds at about 3, DHL still hadn’t arrived so Matt took charge of the laptop, and they never even turned up to collect it. Moral of the story customer services always lie. Though I did find a box this morning in the mail room so that I could send it to them, which is fair enough, but it wasn’t what I’d been told would happen.

Okay, got to Leeds, met Rosie, met Rosie’s attractive and nice flatmates, went to the Cockpit to see Billy Talent and a British band called the Holiday Plan, who are actually really nice guys, I’ve never seen anyone so appreciative of receiving £3 for a CD I would have gladly paid double for, an they wrote real messages on my CD, “Rock it right, dude” and “Take it easy”. Note to world, britsh music scene, only dead if we let it be.

Went back to Rosie’s after gig, and then I went out with 5 attractive ladies, and a good time was had by all, especially me, though I guess being the only guy with 5 girls didn’t look as intended, cos guys kept grabbing my ass, I’m such a goddamn bear.

What next, came home (Leicester) on the saturday, drove (or should I say queued) past Elland road at 3:00 to get onto the motorway, me and my dumbass map reading. Saw some fireworks at the racecourse on saturday night.

I just hung around on Sunday, Mum and Dad came to visit me, cos they were en route back from London where they visited Neil.

Apparently I’ve bought tickets to the place which is home to one of the biggest gay clubs in London, I’m going to see the Ataris at the London Astoria in February, but I was unaware of its connection with the G.A.Y. night, so there you go.

Ok, theres a girl in the room waiting to use a computer so I’d better give up now.

Oh oh oh, I forgot to mention that I’m coming hom this weekend, I dunno what the date will be though, but if anyone wants to meet up on Saturday night that would be cool.

Also thanks to Smoothy for waking me up at 3:30 on Saturday night, I was trying to sleep you bastard, but still nice to hear from you.

Yadda yadda yadda,
Bone
