Well, I’m off tomorrow, it probably won’t really sink in till next week, but hey, I can’t stay in my protected little valley for ever.
I’m going to have to learn to be a little less naive, and perhaps more ’streetwise’ (that made me feel like a midle-aged policeman giving a talk at a school assembly) when it comes to speaking. Last night when we left the wheelhouse me and Rob had to wait for Smoothy and Jack to walk Caroline home so we waited in the seat outside the bus shelter, cos it was raining and it gave us cover, anywho there’s a load of scousers inside the bus shelter, and they keep asking us if we have any fags, but niether of us smoke, so we didn’t, after a while, this girl, who can only be described as a Scally of the highest order, comes round and asks us why we’re sitting there, so we say and she asks us “Whos Scott and Jack”, so we told her they were our mates, and she walked off, so I said “wouldn’t it be funny if she told them (the other scousers) that Scott and Jack were taking some slag home” Now seems like a very good time to point out how Caroline is not a slag, and that I think shes great, but nevertheless I imagine she may take offense, and to be fair, I really was very, very drunk. So the scally girl walks back round and goes, “Did you call me a slag” and these two big guys walk round the corner, and I really couldn’t see this one ending nicely. I tried to explain, that I didn’t mean her, but she was having none of it but amazingly, one of the blokes said “He didn’t call you a slag………. but you are one” Thank god for that, and then we spent an hour walking back to Smoothy’s in the rain, getting in at about 4, top night.
I did get my SonyEricsson T610, and its brilliant, the camera isn’t great, but I don’t mind cos I already have a decent camera.
I probably won’t be updating much (or at all) for the next few days, cos I won’t be near a net connection, and I’ll probably be way too busy, but at least my next blog entry should be quite interesting.
